Small Workcamps inspire your teenagers in big ways…
Your mission trip will be five days—Sunday through Friday morning—and you’ll pack in enough spiritual growth to fuel your youth group for months. As your teenagers serve people in need, they’ll grow closer the Christ!
You’ll repair homes (you don’t need to have construction skills). Befriend elderly, disabled, and disadvantaged residents whose homes have fallen into disrepair. Share with other adults and teenagers who’ve come to make a difference.
And, because registration is capped at just 99 participants, your group will have a close, connected experience—with one another and participants from other churches. You’ll have a great time making new friends…living together…and worshipping together; all the while serving people that really need your help.
You’ll typically work at one home in small teams of 5-6 teenagers with one or two adults. Each person serves in an important role on their project crew. And, we handle the details so you can focus on what’s most important—the spiritual growth of your teenagers and volunteers. You’ll work on projects like…
- Interior and exterior painting
- Building or repairing porches and wheelchair ramps
- Building or repairing steps
- Weatherization and other home repairs
In keeping with the family setting, you’ll serve participants, too. Share meal preparation, clean up, and caring for the facility where you’re staying. , And you’ll gather in the evening for a time of intimate, interactive, God-centered worship. Programs (designed by the youth ministry experts at Group Magazine) are coordinated by a staff member, but you, your young people, and other participants will take the lead in sharing music and participating in other program elements.
Your mission trip will be run by four ministry-minded staff, including two highly-trained, college-age leaders.
