I got back from Canandaigua, NY, and I had a blast. I was scared at first because I had never been that far away from home, but then the trip got really emotional and I didn't want to leave. I was so sad that I would never see my new friends again.

This year I went to my fourth mission trip but my second Group Workcamp. I had so much fun meeting my group even though we had a few rough patches along the way...it was all worth it to see my resident smile every day. I love the way God can work in every one of us!

I have just gotten back from my very first Workcamp, and it was great! The people are awesome, and so is the staff. If you ever needed anything they were there to help out in any way they could. That just made me feel so welcome. I am definitely gonig to go back, and when I can't be a camper anymore, I'll join the staff. It's so great. I enourage everyone to try it. It will change your life in such a good way.

I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity that you gave us to get our house painted. We would not have been able to do it otherwise. We really appreciated the young talented group of teens that worked on our house. We really miss them. They were the best of young America, and when you hear about how bad the youth are today, you only need to look at these kids to know it's not true.

My first Workcamp experience in Reading, PA, was AWESOME. My crew built a porch and wheelchair ramp for our resident. Once completed, seeing her navigate her motorized wheelchair down it for the first time and back up was cause for a whoop for Jesus.

I am from Port Jervis, New York. The Crew 3 Workgroup did a wonderful job rebuilding my porch floor. I had a wonderful week getting to know each and every one of them. I will miss them dearly. God bless them.

I went to Group Workcamp in York, PA. It was awesome. It was the best mission trip I have ever been on in my life. I am from Elizabeth City, NC, and it was a five hour drive. I went there and I was like, This is not going to turn out right. Everyone is different. They next day I got to do devotional. It was awesome, and God was talking to me, but I just could not get it. And I kept praying, and He said, This is a good time to renovate yourself, and I did!!!!!

I was working in Colorado last week at the Veterans home, and I was very touched by the residents. We did a devotion with them, and one came up to us after and said that they were touched by us doing that devotion with them. Our last day there, a resident asked if we were coming back next year to be with them.

Although this is my fourth mission trip, it is only my second Workcamp mission. In five days, we will be traveling to Mississippi, and I can hardly wait! Thinking about the work camp last year in Ada, Oklahoma, brought back so many memories. You seriously do not realize how much of an impact you are having on these people. Ada was your typical small town, and news really does travel fast! EVERYONE knew what was happening. When we went to Sonic, the employees told us how much they appreciated what we were doing for the community. Our resident's name was Gladys. We celebrated her 90th birthday while we were there. We bought her a cake and a rose bush to put in her yard because her favorite flower was the rose. To anyone who has never experienced God through a Workcamp mission, you don't know what you're missing! Besides growing closer to God, you make tons of new friends. Your perspective on life changes completely, and once you spend a week in a Workcamp, there's no turning back...

This was my first Workcamp, and we weren't going that far, only to Allen, SD, but I was scared! When I met my crew I was overjoyed. We worked so well together. We finished a total of four projects in one week! I was really glad I was able to go because it showed me that even though we may whine and complain about how bad our lives are, the people in Allen have it about 100 times worse.
