“There’s no doubt that service experiences are some of the most life-transforming experiences for a young person. I’ve long admired Group Workcamps and their amazing way of helping young people interpret their service in light of the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Micah Experience is a welcomed gift to the Catholic young people of this country.”
- John M. Vitek, President & CEO, Saint Mary's Press

"The Micah Experience will provide an effective blend of service, reflection, prayer, and Catholic social teaching. This will be a powerful experience of Catholic faith in action!”
- Bob McCarty, D. Min, Executive Director, NFCYM

“Group Workcamps has been a go-to resource for Catholic youth ministry leaders for years. Even in an ecumenical context, Group Workcamps has been living the basic tenets of Catholic social teaching. The Micah Experience will allow teens to further explore justice through the lens of Catholic formation, tradition, and prayer, all presented by the organization that knows more about the field of youth ministry than virtually any other.”
- Kevin Driscoll, Coordinator, Diocese of Gary Office for Youth & Young Adults

“I have worked with Group Workcamps Foundation for two decades and have never ceased to be amazed by their commitment to quality and service. When you go to The Micah Experience, you can expect a solid spiritual foundation as well as the experience necessary to provide the utmost in safety and respect for all your youth and adults.”
- Jerry Goebel, Founder and director of ONEFamily Outreach “Connecting Kids to Communities and Communities to Kids”

"I am very pleased to hear Group Workcamps is offering a uniquely Catholic workcamp - The Micah Experience. Group Workcamps were a mainstay of my parish youth ministry back in Virginia. Group Workcamps provided our young people with a powerful experience of service and spiritual reflection as well as Christian community. Several of our youth applied to be staff for Group Workcamps once they graduated from high school because the experience had been so transforming for them. In addition, two of our young people, once they had experienced Group Workcamp, organized a local weekend workcamp for our parish utilizing skills they had learned. Although we enjoyed the ecumenical aspect of the workcamps, there were times I longed for a uniquely Catholic experience which would include our rich Catholic social teachings within the wonderful Group workcamp experience. The Micah Experience will now combine the best of the Group Workcamps with our Catholic tradition. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Catholic Youth Ministries nationwide."
- Grace Cassetta, Director of Adolescent Catechesis and Youth Ministry, Diocese of Las Cruces Chair, NACYML Leadership Team
