About Us

The Group Workcamps Foundation exists as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization to provide dynamic short-term mission trips, domestically and internationally.  Group Workcamps trips are ecumenical, focusing on the core Christian beliefs that bring the Christian church together.

Since 1977, nearly a quarter of a million participants have grown in their relationship with Christ, while providing more than 6 million hours of volunteer service directly to people in need.

Where we are

Group Workcamps® is located in Loveland, Colorado where it all began! Be sure to read the interesting history of how Group Workcamps started.

The purpose of our trips

Inset-about-usGroup Workcamps trips are designed to deepen your walk with Christ, while you serve people in Christ's name.  It's not so much about the "service projects" (although the challenge is important), it's more about God changing the hearts of your young people...and the people that are served.  The "work" fades, but the impact of selfless service and new relationships lasts!  Our purpose is to come alongside youth and children's ministers and provide experiences where young people grow in Christian faith and character...and have loads of fun at the same time.

Develop a deeper spiritual life

Nothing seems to spark spiritual growth like putting your Christian faith into action.  And, when young people are pushed out of their comfort zones, away from the distractions of home, God gets through to them.  With carefully planned evening programs (by the ministry experts at Group Magazine and Children's Ministry Magazine), devotions and service projects, young people hear God’s Word…do God’s Word…and experience transformation.  That's why more than 90% of participants say they come away with a deeper spiritual life

Types of trips

Opportunities vary from home repair to community service...domestic to international.  Service projects are determined by the most pressing needs of the communities we serve in.  Project crews are divided into small teams (typically 1 adult and 5 young people) to promote strong friendships within each crew...and to build meaningful relationships with the people you are serving.

And now you can take a trip directly with Group Workcamps (youth or preteen), with Simply Youth Mission Trips (organized by Group Workcamps), or with The Micah Experience (organized by Group Workcamps).   The choice is yours!

A Group Workcamps mission trip is a powerful way to jumpstart your faith. It's unforgettable. It's fun! And, it changes the lives of your young people and the people they serve…maybe that's why so many church groups come back year after year.

Group Workcamps Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his death on the cross, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in his personal return.

We believe people receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life through Jesus.
